Welcome to RamsGirl!

Well hello! As is common, let me introduce myself. My name is Traci and I am an avid knitter. My mother taught me when I was young, and then again when I was an adult. I am SUPER type-A, very logical, love math and numbers, and all of those crazy things. Knitting is the creative hobby for the super type-A. For all intents and purposes, it is symmetrical, contained, orderly, and is created with math. You count your stitches to create geometrical shapes. Wait, I didn't mean to ruin knitting for all of you! I happen to really enjoy math (almost as much as I enjoy knitting). Knitting really is the only creative endeavor that I truly enjoy. And I am so excited to share my experiences (and bit of knowledge) with the knitting community!

So what to expect. Well. I have been wanting to do yarn reviews ("yarn tastings" if you will) for about a year now. I have quite the backlog of items in my stash ready to talk about. Showing how different yarns knit up and how they hold up will be a regular feature. I am always disappointed when a skein of the softest yarn knits up scratchy. How does that even happen? Don't worry, I'll let you know which yarns do this. Does it pill? Does it wash well? Does it leave you covered in bits of fluff after wearing? Worry no more!

Next on the agenda, yarn shops and fiber events! This is my favorite. Shopping for more yarn! Don't ask me where I am going to put it all, my stash already overfloeth. I'll let you know about fiber festivals coming up and then talk all about them (with pictures, no worries) so you can feel like you were there, even if it was too far to travel.

And finally, we will talk all about tips, tricks, answer questions, tell you how much I hate snow and broccoli and I love cats and naps...whatever we get into. If you have questions or topics you want me to cover (even if it is a shared hatred of broccoli), let me know! Email me at RamsGirlDesign@gmail.com. I can't wait to hear from you!
