In honor of St. Patrick's Day and the cold weather being back, today we are drinking an Irish coffee. There is definitely a liberal amount of Irish cream added. Here in Virginia, Spring seems to be locked in a battle with Winter, and it sure feels like Winter is winning. I needed something to warm me up, so a mix of coffee and alcohol is perfect. Of course, be careful that the caffeine doesn't mask just how much you have imbibed! I worked on a chunky scarf while having my drink.
This scarf pairs well with a spiked coffee for multiple reasons. It is straight forward, so easy to keep track of your stitches if you start feeling that Irish cream. Plus it is chunky and warm, keeping your lap warm when the temperatures start dipping. This project knits up quickly, so you can finish it before you finish the bottle. And then you have a warm scarf to wrap around you!
If you want to grab the knitting kit for this scarf, click here. This kit comes with everything you need to make the scarf above - yarn, needles, pattern, and a project bag to store it all in. This is one of my favorite patterns to knit! It doesn't take long before you have a gorgeous scarf, perfect for wearing or gifting. Now I'm going have another Irish coffee and curse the the weather.
